The Joy of Family Worship
Family worship is the regular practice of a household gathering together to pray, sing, and read the Scriptures. At Heritage Presbyterian Church, we believe that the home is the primary place for Christian discipleship. By worshipping together as a family, we honor Christ in our daily lives, strengthen our bonds with one another, and pass down the glorious truths of our faith to the next generation.

Tips & Encouragement
Starting family worship can feel daunting, but remember that the Lord delights in your efforts, however small. Here are three simple ways to begin this beautiful tradition.
1. Keep it Simple
Do not feel pressured to have a long service. A ten-minute gathering for prayer and a brief scripture reading is a wonderful start that children can easily follow.
2. Consistency over Perfection
It is better to meet briefly every day than to have a perfect hour once a month. Choose a consistent time that fits your family's rhythm, like after breakfast or before bed.
3. Use Gospel Resources
Leveraging a hymnal or a children’s catechism can help provide structure. These tools help point your family toward the grace found in Christ Jesus.
